Is refacing really as good as new cabinets?
The doors and drawer fronts — the parts you see and touch �� are brand-new, furniture-grade, and identical to what you'd get in a new custom cabinet. Refacing reuses the boxes, which are structural. We sand, prime, and paint those boxes in your kitchen to match the new doors, so the finish reads as one continuous set — not a patched-together job. If your boxes are sound, refacing looks and functions identically to new cabinets at roughly half the price.
How is this different from just painting my cabinets?
Cabinet painting keeps your old doors and just repaints them — the dated cathedral arches, raised panels, and worn wood grain all stay. We install brand-new custom doors, drawer fronts, and hardware, and only paint the cabinet boxes so the exposed frame ends and side panels match the new door finish. You get the fresh, updated look of new cabinets, not a coat of paint on 1985 doors.
How do I know if my cabinets can be refaced?
If your cabinet boxes are structurally sound (not rotted, water-damaged, or coming apart), they can almost certainly be refaced. Layout doesn't matter — we work with U-shapes, galleys, islands, and peninsulas. Send us a photo through the instant price tool and we'll confirm on the spot.
Do you really finish in two days?
Yes. Painting is typically finished on day one, and new cabinet door and drawer installation on day two. Everything is built in advance in our shop, so the in-home portion of your job is just paint and install. You keep your appliances, plumbing, and electric where they are.
What if I want to change my countertops or backsplash?
We can help you with that. New countertops typically add one day. We recommend a full-height backsplash to match your countertops. Tile backsplashes are available also.
